RESEARCH - NWADIKE

(a) Completed:

Biosurfactant production in Bacillus species isolated from heavy oil contaminated sites and the effects of nutrients (carbon and nitrogen) sources.

(b) In Progress:

(1)        Effect of soil burial period on biodegradation of polyurethanes: This study entails burying polyurethanes packs in the soil and monitoring to see the changes that will occur in the polymer with time through analysis of exhumed packs.

(2)        Biotreatment of wastewater using algae and bacteria: In this study, wastewater samples are analysed prior to treatment with algae and bacteria and after biotreatment to see effects of the biotreatment within specified periods.

(c) Dissertations and Thesis:

(1) Detection of parasite Ova in Appendix (B.Sc. Project work, 2002).

(2)        Biosurfactant production in some selected Bacillus species isolates (M.Sc. Project work, 2009)

(3)        Microbial Degradation of Polyurethane (Ph.D Thesis, 2014).
