Current Research Interest:

Archaeological Investigations of Esie, North Central Yoruba land                          

This work is aimed at carrying out extensive archaeological survey of Esie, a community that has produced the largest number of soapstone figurines in West Africa. It is the first of such as previous works centred on the investigation of the figurines from the art history perspective. Several sessions of fieldwork involving excavations had already been carried out at the site, and this has produced some papers.
