The department organizes a balanced programme of courses in theory and application leading to:
(A) B.Sc. Programme
(i) Duration: 3 or 4 years.
(ii) Eligibility for Admission.

STATISTICS Two ‘A’ Level subjects to include Five credits including Any unit of the degree Mathematics or University of English Language, courses already passed
in the Diploma will form part of the Degree.OND from arecognised institution with a minimum of Upper Credit may be considered.
Ibadan Professional Diploma in Mathematics and any Statistics (plus five ‘O’ Level other 3 science subjects.
* Economics will not be counted as a science subject
The approved science subjects are Agricultural Science, Biology, Botany, Chemistry, Geography, Geology, Mathematics (Pure and
Applied). Further Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology. However and Agricultural Science.
(B) POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN STATISTICS
Entry Requirements, Duration and Registration
(i) Duration: 2. Semesters
(ii) Eligibility For Admission:
Candidates for admission to the programme shall normally be holders of the degree of Bachelor with some knowledge of Mathematics not below the level of the General Certificate of Education at Advanced level or it equivalent.

(ii) Eligibility for Admission
Candidates for admission to the programme shall normally be graduated of the University of Ibadan or other Universities recognized by Senate, who possess the degree of Bachelor in Statistics. Candidates who possess approved postgraduate diploma in statistics with a B.Sc. background can also be considered.
